Walking to Defeat ALS

The Chicago Walk to Defeat ALS was held on May 30th at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL. The Chicago Walk is the biggest event for the Chicago ALSA and something I look forward to all year. The weather on the day of the walk was not exactly what we had hoped for. It rained for the majority of the event, but that did not stop a few thousand people from walking to defeat ALS!

I was the VIP tent host for this weekend’s walk. This means that I hosted the tent for the team that raised the most money. This year’s team was Dan’s Determinators. I had a wonderful time meeting each team member and making sure the walk went smoothly for them. Thank you to Chicago ALS Association board member Vicki for co-hosting the tent with me. I really enjoyed working with Vicki!

This year’s walk was wonderful. I was able to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Thank you so much to every single walker and volunteer who came out for the 2015 Chicago Walk to Defeat ALS. I cannot wait for next year’s walk!
